The central goal was to enable reliable process observation under extreme conditions. The combination of high temperatures and specific process requirements made the selection of materials and the construction of the sight glasses a central success factor.

For process observation, we chose quartz glass, a material known for its outstanding temperature resistance that can easily withstand temperatures of up to +1000 °C permanently. A secure sealing was ensured by mica-based gaskets.

The flange was made of heat-resistant stainless steel, which retains its stability and corrosion resistance even at +800 °C. The four high-temperature sight glasses of the Type 326 were successfully manufactured and delivered.
