Custom Solutions for Manhole Sight Glasses: Expertise in Action
The new manhole sight glasses had to comply not only with the applicable European standards but also with the pressure equipment directive (PED) 2014/68/EU.
This project posed specific requirements: the technical documentation of the tank was outdated and the sight glasses had to be designed for high working temperatures with additional safety measures.
For maximum safety and insulation, a construction with double glazing was chosen, providing protection against mechanical stresses and ensuring a reliable seal at extreme temperatures.
The use of mica glass increases mechanical strength and provides additional safety against breakages and leaks. An integrated flush connection allows for effective cleaning of the glass and prevents the accumulation of residues.
