Special tubular sight glasses for extreme operating conditions
For the customer of our Dutch partner EBORA BV, a special solution was required: tubular sight glasses for temperatures between -101 °C and +100 °C.
The sight glasses had to permanently withstand a pressure of 25 bar without material fatigue or leaks, and the customer requested a design that minimizes dead spaces. The solution had to be developed, manufactured, and made available for acceptance within just 8 weeks.
For the housing components, high-quality materials with excellent pressure and cold resistance have been used. Stepped glasses made of borosilicate glass, manufactured according to DIN 7081, have been used.
The construction was carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU, Module H. Within just 8 weeks, the project was completed from the design phase to the final acceptance by the customer.
